2010 was the sixth, and unfortunately, final year of the Infectious Disease UREKA programme.

All the researchers and students who participated in the ID UREKA site thank Science Foundation Ireland for their support and funding since 2005. During that time more than 60 students from 12 countries came to NUI, Galway to gain laboratory experience with teams of Infectious Disease researchers. Each one developed skills needed for a successful career in research and developed friendships and professional relationships that will last a life time.
